Metamorphosis is a short film depicting the lifecycle of a butterfly as it transforms from egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis befire reaching it's final form. As the butterfly grows so does its environment which becomes increasingly man-made and polluted.
The work was made in Blender (modelling and animation), Adobe After Effects (3D compositing and tracking) and Premiere Pro (compositing and colour grading).
Excerpts and still shots from a Moving Image work created while studying at UNSW. It disrupted by COVID lockdowns.
The extended work featured many types of stylised destruction such as flower burning, melted black wax, painting/vandalising the walls, breaking glass and breaking plates.

This work consists of 5 pairs of images. Each pair consists of an inverted life size photogram of a natural object, and an enlarged print of the same object showing further detail.
It was created using black and white photo paper and developer, combined with rapid and experimental lumen print techniques produced colour in the remaining white space. The colour is only temporary and lasts approx. 4hrs in light before turning to grey.
This animation depicts a pair of young Panda cubs playing in a bamboo forest.
The animation was created using the puppet pin method in Adobe After Effects and it features original character design made in Procreate, and soundscapes made using foley.
This is an 8 day timelapse documenting the opening of Peony flowers.
The work was achieved using an Intervalometer on a DSLR camera to take photos of the buds every 5 minutes. In total it contains approximately 2000 images.
Hypnosis is an interactive projection installation.
The projection is made of a repeating series of hypnotic spirals made in black and white. The viewer then holds a container filled with a small layer of black oil and water in the path of the projected light. As the light passes through the different mediums the colour beams split creating the distorted effect.
The portal is a short VFX scene responding to a group assessment prompt to create a “doorway” using Chroma key techniques and motion tracking. It was created entirely in Nuke.
The work was made with 2 other students and filmed on a home green screen set-up.
My role in the project was motion tracking the scene for the floating orb, as well as designing the portal.
Thumbelina is a short compilation of scenes and still images from my 2019 HSC Major work.
In the story a tiny girl is born from a flower bud. She explores the garden world around her and encounters many creatures including beetles, birds, and fairies.
